HITS Circuit Training classes switch from an aerobic cardiovascular exercise to an anaerobic resistance exercise every 60 seconds, keeping the body from choosing the energy expenditure system it's going to use. This confusion forces the body to burn more calories. This activity of switching back and forth from an aerobic cardiovascular system to an anaerobic system is what increases the fat expenditure of the body. The class is designed to actively challenge effort and coordination with 55 minute class sessions. No two sessions are alike, and all are fun, fast--paced, and extremely motivating, which is unique compared to a traditional gym based classes. The result is an increase in fitness as well as improved metabolism, body composition, and exercise technique.
