Youth Athletic Performance Training

HITS Junior Athletic Performance Training (ages 7-­11)-­ During this important time in a child's life, youth athletes are like sponges. The body is perfect for new information and ready to absorb new movement patterns. The Youth program is conducted in 55-­-minute sessions and designed to introduce and create foundations of overall athleticism and coordination in a fun and positive environment. Our Youth program places a high priority on athletic coordination, balance and relative strength and the introduction of proper technique for resistance training. These are vital in establishing a child's athletic foundation for improved performance, injury prevention, and long-­-term enjoyment of sports participation.

Want to run one of the most scenic and flat courses in California? Choose to Run Long Beach this year. Starting and finishing in Downtown Long Beach. After running on the Beach Path, you’ll run through Marine Stadium, past Blair Field and then out through the student filled cheer alley at California State University, Long Beach. Re-trace your steps back to downtown, and you’ll be greeted back into Downtown by cheering fans, family and the great sounds and energy at the Finish Line Festival. It’s a race that can’t be missed!

What is Circuit Training at HB HITS?

Group Personal Training at its best no matter what your fitness level is!

HITS Circuit Training classes switch from an aerobic cardiovascular exercise to an anaerobic resistance exercise every 60 seconds, keeping the body from choosing the energy expenditure system it's going to use. This confusion forces the body to burn more calories. This activity of switching back and forth from an aerobic cardiovascular system to an anaerobic system is what increases the fat expenditure of the body. The class is designed to actively challenge effort and coordination with 55 minute class sessions. No two sessions are alike, and all are fun, fast-­-paced, and extremely motivating, which is unique compared to a traditional gym based classes. The result is an increase in fitness as well as improved metabolism, body composition, and exercise technique.

All you have to do is show up and leave the rest to us!


Tough Mudder Run

Tough Mudder Run with our Running Club 18 women strong we stand united in our mission to bring home our orange head bands, a badge of honor. A portion of the THB group this combat unit will race together in camaraderie and faith as we are guided into the fiery, muddy, wet, miles and heart racing depths of one of the most mentally challenging military style obstacle courses on the planet - Tough Mudder! One might shudder at the very thought of racing through 10,000 volts of electricity and crawling blind through the dark tunnels of mud, yet I take a bow for a moment in silence and peace knowing this team is in good hands. Led by one of the best physical fitness trainers in Southern California - Yo Armendariz, We come prepared, dressed in our neon green "Dominating The Dirty" t-shirts, and bringing with us our secret weapon: Team Work ~ cause on this team we start together and we finish together.
